By car
If you travel to Italy by car, you can take the route through France from Calais, via Paris and Lyons and on towards Turin in Italy. The motorways in Italy are toll roads, with varying tolls on different sections. At the toll booths you can pay either cash or by credit card. We recommend that you pay by credit card; to do so, queue in the lane marked in blue and simply put your credit card into the pay machine. The speed limit in Italy is 50 km/h (30 mph) in built-up areas, 90 km/h (55 mph) on single carriageways, 110 km/h (68 mph) on dual carriageways and 130 km/h (80 mph) on motorways (150 km/h - 93 mph - on three-lane motorways, weather permitting). Visibility vests are compulsory in Italy and Austria; you must carry a vest for each occupant of the vehicle. The legal BAC (blood alcohol content) limit is 0.5. Please make sure that you do not exceed this limit as strict controls are frequently carried out.

By train
Alternatively, leave your car at home and travel by train. The nearest train station is Imperia Porto Maurizio. We would be pleased to recommend the right property for a holiday without the car!
The journey will take you comfortably from London St. Pancras via Paris, Nice and Ventimiglia to Imperia Porto Maurizio.
By air
Flying to Liguria is convenient: the closest airports are Nice and Genova. From there, you can reach us either by hire car (one hour) or by train (approximately two hours).
However, the Milanese airports of Linate, Malpensa and Bergamo/Orio, as well as Torino airport are only two to three hours’ drive away.
